Please use the Core Funding account and email us if you would like your donation to be ringfenced for a particular project.

Donating via BACS, credit card, debit card, cheque or cash:

Donations can be received in all of these ways  - Please use the contact form to tell us how you would like to make your donation and how much you would like to donate and we will provide the necessary information and Gift Aid paperwork.

Legacies and lifetime gifts:

The charity is also able to receive legacies. The charity can provide specialist advice around the wording of a legacy as a Will is being prepared or can prepare the necessary deeds to enable a legacy to be made by an executor in memory of an individual. This is a highly specialised area of Law; please email  Louisestewart@multitudeofvoyces.co.uk for initial advice.

Sponsorship:

The charity warmly welcomes enquiries from organisations – commercial/non-profit/CICs/B-corps – whose own aims are in sympathy with the charity’s. Sponsorship can be acknowledged in a variety of ways and the Trustees welcome all interest.

How we spend your donation:

Every penny is accounted for and spent very carefully indeed. Our Trustees and Associates work very conscientiously to ensure that the charity operates completely transparently in its use of monies.

Our Projects are carefully planned so that they create opportunities for others and potential income or other benefits for the charity beyond an initial commission, publication or event.

Our expenditure is explained in detail within the accounts provided by the Trustees to the Charity Commission. We also make these available to the public in the About Us section of our website.

The charity is in the process of registering with the Fundraising Regulator.

How we recognise your donation:

We welcome and are grateful for all donations, small and large.

Some donors wish to remain anonymous, and we respect that decision.

Others are happy for us to acknowledge their donations in our publications or in other ways. Where a donation enables the charity to carry out a substantial piece of work we can work closely with you to recognise your support.

We are developing a system of Friends whose names will be shared on our website; this will include the opportunity to make a donation in memory of a loved one.

The charity’s Donations Policy can be found here

Running a modern charity comes with unavoidable external and internal costs (core costs).

Running a charity which includes a ‘publishing house’ substantially increases the charity’s insurances, legal and other costs. It costs MoV around £20,000 a year to administrate the charity. This does not include office rent or related costs which are donated to the charity and does not include specialist pro bono work donated by our Trustees, Associates or other Contractors or Supporters.

Some royalties income is used to support the charity’s core costs and the charity is working hard to increase this income over the coming years to reduce the burden on private donors.

There are very few grant-funders which support core-costs and even fewer which support the sort of specialist work which MoV does.

Projects are funded and managed separately from the charity’s basic admin and running costs. Each of our projects is ground-breaking; we need to be able to carry out work which others have not done before. Researching, creating, developing, carrying out and evaluating our projects is a time-consuming business, highly reliant on expert skills from all involved.

Personal donations

We welcome regular or one-off donations so we can keep the wheels turning.
